Descrición
RankCycle is AI SEO that starts from your own Google Search Console data and proves what it changed. It finds the pages that already rank but under-perform, fixes them with your approval, and measures every change for 28 days against pages it didn’t touch, so a site-wide rise or fall is never credited to the change. Losses are printed next to wins, and by default a change that measurably lost is rolled back automatically.
This free plugin is the connection between your WordPress site and your RankCycle account (https://rankcycle.ai). It applies the changes you approve, so you never hand over a WordPress password. A RankCycle account is required: the free audit needs no credit card and applies your first fix at no cost.
What RankCycle finds and fixes
- Low click-through rate (CTR). Pages that earn fewer clicks than their Google position should bring get a rewritten SEO title and meta description.
- Content decay. Posts that are losing clicks get an in-place content refresh, with the previous version kept for an exact rollback.
- Keyword cannibalization. When two of your pages compete for the same query, RankCycle proposes merging them; an approved merge adds a reversible redirect.
- Internal links. One contextual link is added inside the post that should carry it, in plain text only, and removed cleanly on rollback.
- New posts where demand is proven. RankCycle proposes posts for queries your site already appears for in Search Console, and sends each post to WordPress as a draft unless you turn publishing on.
- Structured data and indexing. FAQ schema (FAQPage JSON-LD) for the posts RankCycle writes, and an IndexNow key served from your site root, so a page is submitted to IndexNow search engines as soon as a change to it is applied or it is published.
Every change is measured
The number RankCycle reports is the measured click difference, not how many changes it made. At day 28 each applied change is compared with untouched pages on the same site over the same window. Results it cannot be confident about are kept out of the headline, and a new post is ranked against the other new pages on your site rather than against nothing.
Works with your SEO plugin and editor
- Yoast SEO, Rank Math and All in One SEO (AIOSEO) keep their own title and description fields. RankCycle updates those too, so an SEO plugin never silently overrides an approved change.
- Works with the block editor and the classic editor.
- Pages built with Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Avada or Bricks are detected and never content-refreshed, because their layout does not live in the post body.
What the plugin can do
- Confirm the RankCycle connection.
- Find a WordPress post from a page URL.
- Update a post’s SEO title and meta description for an approved change.
- Replace a post body for an approved content refresh, keeping the previous body for rollback.
- Add or remove one contextual internal link.
- Add or remove the redirect of an approved merge.
- Create a draft with its featured and in-body images, categories and tags, and publish it only when publishing has been switched on.
- Insert or remove an approved call-to-action block.
- Serve your IndexNow key file and, if you switch it on, the conversion counter script.
The plugin cannot delete posts, manage WordPress users, read passwords, or give RankCycle access to anything else on your site. RankCycle stores the previous value of every change it applies, so each one can be rolled back from the RankCycle dashboard.
Optional conversion counter
If you switch it on in RankCycle, a small script served from your own site counts page views and conversions (form submissions, email and phone link clicks, clicks to checkout), so a change can be measured in leads and not only in clicks. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, records no identifier of any kind and never counts logged-in editors. It stays off until you turn it on.
External services
This plugin connects your site to RankCycle (https://rankcycle.ai), the service that proposes, applies and measures the changes. Nothing is sent until you click Connect.
- Connecting. When you click Connect in Settings > RankCycle, the plugin sends your site address, site name, a newly generated connection secret, the plugin version and the WordPress version to https://rankcycle.ai/v1/plugin/register, authorized by the API key you pasted.
- Applying approved changes. RankCycle then calls this site’s REST API (under /wp-json/rankcycle/v1/), authenticated with that connection secret, to apply the work you approved: finding and updating the posts involved, creating drafts with their images, and setting the IndexNow and counter keys.
- Conversion counter (optional, off by default). Only if you switch it on in RankCycle, each visitor’s browser sends the page address, the referring address and the kind of event (a page view, a form submission, or an email, phone or checkout link click) to https://rankcycle.ai/v1/t, with your site’s counter key. No cookies, no local storage, no identifiers.

Instalación
- Create or sign in to your RankCycle account at https://rankcycle.ai/ and connect Google Search Console.
- In RankCycle, open Settings > API keys and create an API key.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New and search for “RankCycle SEO Connector”, then install and activate it. (A downloaded zip installs the same way through Upload Plugin.)
- Open Settings > RankCycle, paste the API key, and click Connect.
- Return to RankCycle and check the WordPress connection status.
The API key is used during the connection handshake and is not stored by this plugin. The plugin stores its own site-specific connection secret in WordPress options. To disconnect, deactivate or delete the plugin and remove the connection from RankCycle.
Preguntas frecuentes
-
Is the plugin free?
-
Yes. The plugin is free and GPL-licensed. It needs a RankCycle account: the free audit shows your ranked list of proposed fixes and applies one of them, measured at day 28, with no credit card. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial.
-
Does RankCycle need my WordPress password?
-
No. The plugin creates its own site-specific connection secret, and RankCycle never receives a WordPress administrator password. The API key you paste is used once, during the connection, and is not stored.
-
Does it work with Yoast SEO, Rank Math or All in One SEO?
-
Yes. RankCycle updates the SEO title and description fields of whichever of those plugins is active, so an approved change actually shows in search results instead of being silently overridden.
-
How does RankCycle find low CTR, content decay and keyword cannibalization?
-
From your Google Search Console data. A low-CTR page earns fewer clicks than its average position should; a decaying post is losing clicks over time; cannibalization is two of your pages splitting the same query. Every finding comes with the numbers behind it.
-
How is the SEO impact measured?
-
At day 28 each applied change is compared with pages on the same site that were not touched over the same window, so a site-wide rise or fall is not credited to the change. Losses are reported next to wins.
-
Will RankCycle publish AI content automatically?
-
Not unless you ask it to. New posts arrive as drafts by default; publishing needs the matching RankCycle setting and plan. Each post is measured like every other change, against the other new pages on your site.
-
Can I undo a change?
-
Yes. Every change keeps its previous value and can be rolled back from the RankCycle dashboard: titles and descriptions are restored, a refreshed body is put back exactly, and links, redirects and call-to-action blocks are removed by their own markers, so nothing you wrote yourself is touched.
-
Does the plugin slow down my site?
-
No. It loads no scripts or styles on your pages. Its only front-end output is FAQ structured data on posts that carry it and, if you switch it on, one small deferred counter script served from your own site.
-
Does the plugin delete anything?
-
No. The plugin has no delete route and does not manage users or permissions.
-
Where can I get help?
-
Use the RankCycle documentation at https://rankcycle.ai/document#wordpress or contact support through your RankCycle account.

Rexistro de cambios
1.7.1
- Readme: what RankCycle finds, fixes and measures, and an External services section listing every call this plugin makes to RankCycle. No functional change.
- Tested with WordPress 7.1.
1.7.0
- Added optional conversion measurement. A small first-party script, served from your own site, counts page views and conversions (form submissions, email and phone link clicks, clicks to checkout) so RankCycle can measure whether a change earned you leads and not only clicks. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and records no identifier of any kind – only per-page daily counts. It is off until you switch it on in RankCycle, and views by logged-in editors are never counted.
- Added support for RankCycle call-to-action blocks: an approved block is inserted into a post body with its own marker, so removing it takes out exactly what was added and nothing you have written since.
1.6.2
- Renamed the plugin to RankCycle SEO Connector. No functional change: routes, options and stored connections are identical to 1.6.1.
1.6.1
- Content edits now preserve the existing body byte for byte: rollbacks and link edits no longer re-filter content an administrator already published, and backslashes survive every save.
1.6.0
- Added content refresh support: an approved refresh replaces a post body in place, with the previous body stashed in post meta so it can be rolled back exactly.
- Page-builder pages (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Avada, Bricks) are detected and refused — their layout does not live in the post body.
1.5.0
- Added redirect support for approved cannibalisation merges, stored as post meta and fully reversible.
- Added IndexNow key serving at the site root.
1.4.0
- Added internal-link support: an approved change can add one contextual link inside a post, and remove it again on rollback.
- Links are only ever added to plain text, never inside an existing link, heading, shortcode or HTML attribute.
- Removal matches the plugin’s own marker class, so rolling back never strips a link you wrote yourself.
1.3.3
- Added the required Tested up to readme header for WordPress 7.0.
1.3.2
- Updated the dashboard API-key navigation instructions.
1.3.1
- Added WordPress.org plugin readme metadata.
- Clarified the plugin and author URLs.
1.3.0
- Added the current RankCycle WordPress connection and SEO-plugin synchronization.
