Not even 2 weeks later, SparkWP decides to move the shortcode functionality to Premium. My choices as suggested by SparkWP: never update the plugin and use the outdated version that still supports Shortcodes, no longer use the shortcode functionality and stick to the predefined placements, or buy Premium. Felt like a massive bait-and-switch, so I de-installed the plugin( especially since plugin analytics were premium only I had no way of seeing what the plugin delivered anyway and with the issues I’ve encountered along the way).
